Currently in the planning stages, this project presents a new music school inserted into the basement of an old bank building in Bristol City Centre.
Sound proof, mirrored boxes, contrast with the rough concrete structure of the building, these are connected by raised walkways which separate the new spaces within the building from the un-renovated spaces.
Green Man Festival 2017
Green Man Festival commissioned me to design and manufacture the Mountain Stage.
The brief called for an impressive structure which reflected the 'hand made' aesthetic of the festival and provided an audio-visual surprise at night for the headline acts.
The design uses 7.5 kilometres of woven satin ribbons on 2x2 timber frames. These are mounted on a scaffolding structure which wraps the stage.
By night 500m of addressable LED tape illuminate the panels from inside creating a light show which responds the the live music.
In collaboration with Chris Faulds and Lavish Design, I designed and manufactured the Main Stage for the festival along with several installations around the site.
